Tears And Rewards

Thus says the LORD: “Refrain your voice from weeping, And your eyes from tears; For your work shall be rewarded, says the LORD,. And they shall come back from the land of the enemy. There is hope in your future, says the LORD, that your children shall come back to their own border. -Jeremiah 31:16-17

On some occasion, we are made to experience some disturbing situations that brings tears to our eyes. We are made to experience long nights of weeping and discomfort due to an attack launched by the enemy and those we least expect. On some occasion we are abandoned, rejected and deprived of the full benefit of our labour and sacrifices. We may be deprived of what is rightfully ours, we may be dragged into a war of attrition for no just cause.

However, God says the weeping won't last for too long, he is turning things around, our labour will yet be rewarded, what has been taken away from us will yet be returned, there shall be a massive restoration and jubilation. There is a future hope that can not be frustrated. Hallelujah!

There hath not one tear dropped from thy tender eye against thy lusts, the love of this world, or for more communion with Jesus Christ, but as it is now in the bottle of God; so then it shall bring forth such plenty of reward, that it shall return upon thee with abundance of increase. -John Bunyan
